Anwar to TV3 and Utusan: ‘Retract statements within 24 hours or I will sue’

PETALING JAYA: De facto Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has asked Utusan Malaysia and TV3 to retract their statements that he is the mastermind of the Lahad Datu incident otherwise he will file an RM100mil suit against both media companies.


His lawyers, PKR vice president N Surendran, and party supreme council member Latheefa Koya, told the press this morning:“We just delivered a letter of demand to Utusan’s management and TV3′s owner, Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Bhd, this morning.

“On top of claiming damages of RM100 million each, we also urged them to retract the report and apologise for the malicious attack against Anwar within 24 hours.”
